on monday i’m going to go see my grandma
in a couple weeks she’s going to have surgery to remove the skin cancer she has near her eyes
it’s going to be the last time i see her before her surgery
i know she’ll be fine though, apparently the surgery only takes a few hours and she’ll be back home on the same day
she’s also kept pretty upbeat about the whole thing
i called her the other day and she told me how some random guy at the mall looked at her and asked her “who gave you the black eye?” and she said “cancer.” and the poor guy was really apologetic and she kept a straight face
i’m proud to have her as my namesake :)
